Mithibai College of Arts, Chauhan Institute of Science and Amrutben Jivanlal College of Commerce and Economics, Mumbai was established in 1961. Mithibai College Mumbai provides full time courses in the streams of Arts, Sciences, Management, Economics and Commerce, at undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral levels. It also provides specialised courses in various streams and levels, for the candidates to choose from. 

Some of the well-known courses offered by Mithibai College Mumbai are BA, B.Sc, B.Com, BMS, MA, M.Sc, M.Com, Ph.D and so on. Admissions to all UG courses at Mithibai College are based on the marks obtained in Class 12 exams while for PG courses (except M.Com and M.Sc Data Science and AI), Mithibai College conducts a PG entrance test for admissions.

Mithibai College of Arts and Chauhan Institute of Science was established in 1961 to address the need for higher education institutions in the western suburbs of Mumbai. Later, in 1981, the Amrutben Jivanlal Institute of Commerce and Economics was also established. Mithibai College Mumbai consists of one degree and a junior college. The degree college boasts three departments (Arts, Science, Commerce). Mithibai College is a UGC-recognised college and has also been accredited by the NAAC with Grade ‘A’. Located in Vile Parle West, Mumbai, Mithibai College is a private college affiliated with the University of Mumbai.
